Getting Vetted and Purchasing Tickets

To ensure that The Menagerie remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for all, we require a vetting process for all guests before they can attend a play event. Below are the steps to get vetted and purchase your tickets.

TL;DR:

  1. All guests must be individually vetted to attend play parties, by filling out this form.
  2. You cannot attend a play party alone; you must come with 1 or 2 companions.
  3. At least 1 person in your group must be a woman and/or a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
  4. Socials do not require vetting or a companion.

Our Vetting Process

We want everyone attending a Menagerie play party to have a positive experience, so we require all guests to come with one or two companions they trust. Your companion does not have to be a partner—it could be a friend, lover, or anyone you feel comfortable with. While you don’t have to stick together throughout the whole event, you and your companions are responsible for each other’s behaviour while at the event. This ensures that everyone arrives with someone they trust and that all guests are vouched for by at least one other person.

  • You must arrive with your companion(s), as you will not be allowed entry alone, and no refunds will be issued if either you or your companion cannot attend.

Before attending, all guests must go through a vetting process which is done through a short online form. If you prefer to complete the vetting process via phone call, just send us an email at menagerie.parties@proton.me to request one. Don’t worry—this isn’t an interview! We’re more interested in ensuring that The Menagerie is a good fit for you and that you understand our consent guidelines. This helps us maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for all attendees. Once you are vetted, you are a Vetted Menagerie Member for life.

How to Purchase a Ticket

Tickets are sold individually, and we require that each guest attend with one or two companions. You cannot attend a Menagerie play party alone. At least one person in your group must be a woman and/or a member of the LGBTQ+ community. By ‘woman,’ we mean anyone who self-identifies as a woman. The LGBTQ+ community includes anyone who self-identifies as lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming, or queer.

Once you decide who you’ll be attending with, each individual will need to fill out our online vetting form.

After successfully completing the vetting process, we’ll send you a link to purchase your play party ticket, along with an invitation to join the Vetted Members WhatsApp group. This is where we share private ticket links for future play parties. The group is private, read-only, and your number will remain hidden from other members. Only Menagerie admins can post—no chatter, just the essentials.

Ticket Prices

  • Standard ticket: £35
  • Concession ticket: £25 (see details below)

If cost is a barrier, we offer a limited number of sliding scale tickets for those experiencing financial hardship. This may include individuals who are disabled, carers, unemployed, or otherwise facing financial strain. These tickets are available on an honour system—please only use this option if it genuinely applies to your situation, helping us ensure that these tickets reach those who truly need them.
