🕊️ Report a Grievance
Reporting a Grievance at The Menagerie
At The Menagerie, we are committed to creating a safe, ethical, and welcoming environment for all participants, whether you’re a guest, organiser, or member of staff. We understand that sometimes, concerns or grievances may arise, and when they do, we are here to listen and respond with care, transparency, and fairness.
We Take Every Complaint Seriously
We encourage anyone - guests, staff, or organisers - to report concerns as soon as possible. These may include (but are not limited to):
- Misconduct
- Unethical behaviour
- Discrimination or harassment
- Violations of The Menagerie’s policies or values
How to Make a Report
There are a few ways you can report a grievance:
- Secure Online Form (preferred): Submit a report through our confidential grievance form, which includes more detailed information on the process and what to expect. Even if you choose to report in another way, we recommend reviewing the form, as it offers helpful details about how we handle complaints.
- In Person: You can also speak directly with a senior organiser or welfare officer during an event if that feels safer or more accessible.
- Via Email: Reach out to us at menagerie.parties@proton.me if you’d prefer to speak over email or need help accessing the form.
Response Timeline
We aim to review submitted forms weekly. However, please keep in mind that we are a volunteer-run organisation, and response times may vary.
If your concern is urgent or you haven’t heard back within a reasonable timeframe, please don’t hesitate to follow up via email to ensure it gets the attention it deserves.
Questions?
If you’re unsure whether something warrants a formal complaint, or you just want to talk through a concern, we’re here to help. Feel free to send us a message at menagerie.parties@proton.me.
More information can also be found on the Confidential Grievance Form.
Together, we can uphold the values that make The Menagerie a safe, respectful, and empowering space for all.
