Reporting a Concern
At Menagerie, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and consent-led environment for everyone involved in our events and community.
If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, unsafe, or concerned, we encourage you to reach out. We take reports seriously and aim to handle them with care, discretion, and fairness.
Concerns may include:
- Consent violations or boundary issues
- Harassment or discrimination
- Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour
- Breaches of Menagerieβs policies or community guidelines
How to Report a Concern
There are a few ways you can report a grievance:
- Secure Online Form: Submit a report through our confidential grievance form, which also explains more about our process and what to expect after making a report.
- In Person: During events, you can speak directly with an organiser, monitor, or welfare team member if you would prefer support in person.
- Via Email: You can also contact us at: menagerie.parties@proton.me
What Happens Next
We review reports regularly and will respond as thoughtfully and promptly as we can. Menagerie is volunteer-run, so response times may occasionally vary.
Depending on the situation, responses may include:
- checking in with those involved,
- gathering additional information,
- seeking external safeguarding advice,
- removing individuals from events,
- or taking further action where necessary.
Not Sure Whether to Report?
You do not need to be certain that something βcountsβ before reaching out.
If something felt uncomfortable, concerning, or worth discussing, we would rather hear about it than have you sit with it alone.
Thank you for helping us keep Menagerie a safer and more accountable space for our community.
